Do I have to speak out loud?
It's the heart of the app, because hearing yourself say Scripture is what puts it in you. But when you can't, type the first letter of each word and everything works the same.
Which translation is included?
The Berean Standard Bible, free and complete, with its paragraphs, poetry lines and section headings intact. You can also add your own copy of any translation, passage by passage, and it stays private to you.
Is my voice recorded or uploaded?
No. Speech is recognised on your phone and only the words you got right or missed are kept. Nothing you say leaves the device.
How does the app know I've memorised something?
Every recital tracks how many words needed a prompt. Fewer prompts, higher by-heart percentage. It fades slowly if a passage goes quiet, so you'll be invited back before you lose it.
Is it free?
Yes. Reading, reciting and your whole collection are free. We may add optional extras later, but the Word will never sit behind a paywall.
